Dubai Fitness Challenge Will Host First Community Run on 8 November 19

The Dubai Run- An Experience for Lifetime:

Come and witness the historical event as it begins with the Dubai Fitness Challenge taking place in Sheikh Zayed Road for their Dubai Run.

For the first time, the city’s most important highway is ready and decked up for a community fun run, providing a distinctive, on-foot standpoint on the most legendary edifices that you may perhaps typically skip! This will be a free and open to all event, regardless of age and capability, to encourage a vigorous social spirit and inspire citizens to participate in staying active collectively.

The historic event shall have a 5 km Fun Run, open to all ages and abilities and a 10 km run which is open to people 18+ years. A major focus on this year’s Dubai run event is being produced by DEWA in collaboration with ARN, Etisalat, Dubai Police, and RTA.   Few areas of the road shall be shut down on the morning of 8 November, at the time of the event. Registration process is necessary preceding to the event. 

Information you need to know:

Get set and ready for the event early on Friday, November 8th at Dubai World Trade Centre. The run begins at Dubai World Trade Centre taking on all participants beside a 2.5km run of Sheikh Zayed Road.

The 10km run will witness runners make a good turn towards Financial Centre Road passing some of the city’s most renowned buildings before reaching the finish line. The 5km fun run takes contestants down a similar path on Sheikh Zayed Road.

A Day Before the Event:

Post registration process, you must collect your race bibs prior to race day from Dubai World Trade Centre and selected Sun and Sand Sports stores. The aspirant runner of 8 years and over should have a bib for participation. Kids under 8 should go along with their parents for safety purpose.

All participants must bring a printed or mobile copy of their registration ticket to collect their bib. Participants of the 10km race must bring a valid ID (passport or Emirates ID) to verify their age. When you arrive to collect your bib, please park at the Happiness Street parking lot. It’s possible to collect a bib for someone else, if you have a copy of their ID and their Platinum list ticket. Bibs and race chips are not transferable to any other individual.

The Race Day:

The participants are advised to arrive early on the day of the event to avoid any kind of external problems. Late comers shall not be entertained by the organizers.

Other Amenities:

Partial free parking shall be offered and will be allotted on a first come, first served basis. The Parking facility shall be accessible from 5:00 am at Dubai World Trade Centre. The organizers have hence advised to travel by public transportation.

Optional parking areas can be found through Sheikh Zayed Road parallel to DWTC. Contestants are persuaded to come with essentials only as there shall not be any extra space provided to the runners. Toilet area and prayer rooms shall be offered at DWTC.
