Ramadan 2020 is already in full swing. However, this year’s Holy Month is celebrated in a tad different way as people who observe fasting will be doing so while on lockdown regulations in the UAE and around the world. Friends and families are unable to break their fast together or colleagues to book an Iftar night together. Ramadan is expected to end at the latter of the month of May which according to an official statement from the International Astronomy Center (IAC) will be on Saturday, 23rd of May. With just over a week until the countdown to the Eid celebration, we can still make the most out of this Holy Month.

As we enter the last days of Ramadan, why not treat you and your household to a special Iftar night at home? These signature restaurants in Dubai now delivers! Grand Plaza Mövenpick Media City

The Grand Plaza Mövenpick in Media City has prepared Iftar boxes for 69 AED curated with a variety of traditional Ramadan favourites. Families can break their fast with exclusive Ramadan juices and traditional Arabic appetizers. The Mövenpick Iftar boxes menu also highlights traditional Arabic appetizers, shorbat adas, cheese sambousek, and traditional meat kibbeh. Dessert includes aish as-saraya.

TAJ Dubai

One of the best-known Indian restaurants in Dubai. TAJ offers a three-course Iftar menu that pays tribute to the variety of culinary cultures in Dubai. Some of the highlights include Emirati fish cakes blended with Indian spices. The mains feature Emirati-style chicken curry with home-favourite vegetables tossed in a signature Indian masala blend. Iftar is incomplete without the traditional Luqaimat or Emirati dumplings in date syrup served with ice cream.

For some Asian flavour, classics such as the Thai Red Curry or Chicken Manchurian are up on the menu. And for the sweet ending, choose between a rich flourless Chocolate Cake or the Mango-Sago Panna Cota. Both Iftar Menus are served with dates, fruits, Laban and water to break one’s fast. Now that’s mouthwatering!

Trattoria Toscana

One of Dubai’s most sought-after Italian restaurants is offering personally curated Iftar kits. Trattoria Toscana Iftar menu includes appetizers, choice of pasta, pizza, salad, and Trattoria’s most popular tiramisu dessert. Choices of two appetizers include Polpette in Umido for the meatball lovers and Gambaretti all Aglio for a seafood option. Pick your pasta from Cappelletti di Magro (Ricotta & spinach filling, creamy walnut sauce), Tagliatelle alla Bolognese (Fresh tagliatelle with beef brisket ragout) and more. For the choice of pizza, select from their wide variety ranging from Pizza Bufalina (Buffalo mozzarella, tomato, basil), Pizza Diavola (Mozzarella, tomato, spicy beef salami, roasted capsicum) and more!

COYA Dubai

COYA now delivers a special Iftar menu straight to your home, while staying true to its Peruvian cuisine. COYA promises to prepare all dishes fresh packed with high nutritional levels for a nourishing meal to break your fast with your family and loved ones. The Iftar menu includes a set of soup, salad and mains. Guests have the option to choose from their signature soup dishes like beans and truffle soup or cream of pumpkin soup. Main courses have options for both meat lovers and vegetarians. Select from corn-fed chicken or beef ribs and dried potato and cauliflower, and seabass. Finish off Sukkari dates, edamame and pistachio puff pastry.

The seasonal Iftar menu costs 230 AED and available daily throughout Ramadan until 7:30 PM for delivery through Deliveroo or by directly calling COYA at 04 316 9600. Guests are advised to place their orders at least two hours in advance.
